What a discovery link records
A link visit records the destination creator, the link’s referral code, the time and whether the request resembles an automated preview or bot. We briefly process the IP address and browser user-agent to create a daily keyed hash for approximate repeat-visit detection. Raw IP addresses and user-agent strings are not stored in our analytics database.
We do not identify your X account, read your following list, place analytics cookies or record whether you follow anyone. Daily identifiers change each UTC day. Event data is kept for a rolling 90-day reporting window and removed during subsequent tracking or dashboard requests; hosting-provider logs may have separate retention.
